Our Story

Paws Place Rescue Inc. was founded out of a deep compassion for animals and a commitment to helping those who have nowhere else to go. What began as a simple desire to help animals in need quickly grew into a mission to create a safe place where abandoned, neglected, and vulnerable animals could receive the care and second chances they deserve.

Located in Whitney, Texas, Paws Place Rescue serves animals throughout Hill County and surrounding rural communities where resources for animal welfare can be limited. Many of the animals that come through our rescue have faced difficult circumstances, including abandonment, neglect, or lack of access to proper care.

Our rescue was built on the belief that saving an animal is only the beginning. Each animal that enters Paws Place receives the time, medical care, rehabilitation, and compassion they need to heal and prepare for a loving home. For some animals, that means finding a forever family; for others, it means providing a safe sanctuary where they can live peacefully.

Over time, Paws Place Rescue has grown into a community-driven organization dedicated not only to rescuing animals, but also advocating for responsible pet ownership, supporting local residents, and working toward long-term solutions that improve the lives of animals and the people who care for them.
