Why We Use Caregivers — Not Traditional Fosters
At Paws Place Rescue Inc., we operate a little differently than most rescues. While many organizations rely heavily on foster homes, we have developed a unique system that allows us to help more animals, more efficiently — while keeping them safe and stable.
Caregivers: The Heart of Our Program
In many cases, the people reaching out to us for help are already the ones providing care for the animal — whether it’s a stray they’ve taken in, a pet they can no longer keep, or a rescue situation they stepped into. These individuals become our Caregivers.
While the animal remains in their safe and familiar environment, Paws Place Rescue steps in as the middleman to:
-
Provide full promotional and networking services
-
Post the animal across multiple adoption platforms
-
Screen potential adopters
-
Conduct reference and vet checks
-
Handle adoption paperwork and contracts
Why We Don’t Use Traditional Fosters

-
Space and resources are extremely limited.
-
Avoids added stress and unnecessary moves for the animal.
-
Allows us to help more animals without overwhelming our private sanctuary.
-
Keeps responsibility and communication clear between the caregiver and rescue.
-
Maintains the animal’s routine and comfort until adopted.
About Adoption Fees & Donations
Because the caregiver provides housing and daily care, adoption fees are waived for these animals.
A donation is always welcomed to help us continue offering these services, cover vetting costs, and support future rescues.
We are not just a rescue — we are a bridge to forever homes.
Working together with caregivers allows us to save more lives, one adoption at a time.
You’re Family for Life
Adopting from Paws Place Rescue Inc. means more than just taking home a new pet — it means becoming part of our rescue family forever.
We love seeing your new fur baby thrive, grow, and enjoy the second chance at life they deserve. Each update, every shared photo, and every milestone you send not only warms our hearts, but also inspires the entire community that made their rescue possible.
Your updates serve a bigger purpose:
-
They show the impact of rescue and adoption.
-
They give hope to others looking to adopt.
-
They allow those who helped find, support, and care for your pet to witness the happy ending they helped create.
We aren’t just rescuing animals — we’re building lifelong connections.
