🐾 Paws Place Rescue Inc. Animal Guidelines We are a private, community-funded animal rescue and sanctuary. Our intake policies are selective and based on space, safety, and available resources. 🐶 DOGS We accept dogs on a limited basis, depending on temperament, breed, and urgency of the situation. We do not take in aggressive or unvetted dogs due to liability and safety for our residents and volunteers. Priority is given to Hill County strays and neglect cases. If we cannot take your dog, we may offer our Care Program, where we assist with rehoming while you retain custody. Dogs must undergo a meet-and-greet before intake is finalized. 🐱 CATS We do not take in cats at this time unless they are: Part of a pre-approved breed-specific intake, Involved in a community TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) agreement, or Previously adopted from our rescue and needing return. We do assist with re-homing help through our Care Program. We do not remove feral colonies but can help coordinate rabies vaccinations and relocation assistance when proper landowner agreements are in place. 🐐 LIVESTOCK Our land houses free-range livestock which limits our ability to take in outside animals. We do not accept public livestock surrenders (goats, pigs, cows, chickens, etc.). We may assist with networking or posting animals needing placement through our community channels. 🦎 REPTILES & EXOTICS We do not take in reptiles or exotic animals. For snakes, lizards, turtles, or exotic mammals, please contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator or exotic rescue. We can provide contact info upon request but cannot house or rehome these animals. Additional Notes: We are not animal control and do not conduct field rescues or stray chases. Please contact your local sheriff’s office or animal control for aggressive or dangerous animals. All intakes are by appointment only. Our Caregiver & Transfer programs are available to help community members rehome responsibly without placing additional strain on our resources. 📬 For more information or to apply for help, visit: www.pawsplacerescue.com 📧 Email: pawsplacerescue.inc@gmail.com 📍 Whitney, TX Would you like this formatted into a graphic or printable flyer for social media or events as well? 🐱 WHAT WE OFFER FOR FERAL CATS: 1. TNR GUIDANCE (Trap-Neuter-Return) We help responsible citizens by providing information and resources to trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and safely return feral cats. TNR is the most humane and effective way to manage feral cat populations. 2. LANDOWNER CARE PROGRAM This program is for property owners who want to keep feral or working cats on their land to control rodents and protect barns, sheds, or farms. We assist with ensuring cats are fixed and vaccinated. The landowner agrees to provide ongoing food, water, and basic shelter. We provide a transfer of responsibility form, releasing cats into the landowner's care. 3. COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAM For residents who can’t take in cats permanently but are willing to provide temporary care while we help with rehoming or relocation. 4. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE (Case-by-Case) If a feral cat is injured or sick but catchable, we’ll coordinate vetting or humane euthanasia when necessary. 5. EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH We host bi-weekly community meetups on animal welfare, humane trapping, and stray solutions. RSVP is required. 🚫 WHAT WE DO NOT DO: We are not Animal Control and do not trap or chase cats. We do not remove healthy feral cats simply for existing. We are not a shelter. We are private, selective, and space is limited. Removal is only considered when relocation has been arranged through our approved Landowner Care Program. 💻 Visit Us Online: 🌐 www.pawsplacerescue.com 📧 pawsplacerescue.inc@gmail.com 📍 Whitney, TX | ☎️ 945-225-8250 📌 Follow us for meet-up dates and community involvement opportunities!
